Your VASER Liposuction Procedure

VASER Lipo uses ultrasonic energy, which works to break down fat cells in treatment areas. The ultrasonic energy causes the outside of the fat cells to rupture without damaging surrounding tissue, making the VASER technique effective and safe. VASER Lipo can offer significant benefits for women and men considering liposuction and can be used to complement other body contouring surgeries like breast augmentation in Seattle. To begin the treatment, Dr. Stridde fills the area to be treated with a tumescent solution containing lidocaine in order to numb the site and shrink blood vessels. At our practice in Seattle, tumescent liposuction improves comfort and recovery for our patients. He then makes several small incisions to insert the VASER Lipo System device, which emits the ultrasonic waves that emulsify targeted fat cells. Ruptured fat cells are subsequently removed using a suction cannula (a small tube), leaving you with smooth and natural-looking results.

One of the benefits of a VASER Lipo treatment is that downtime is diminished compared to other liposuction procedures. This is primarily because the ultrasound waves allow a surgeon to use less physical force to remove targeted fat cells, reduces damage to the surrounding tissues, including nerves, blood vessels and connective tissue.
