People with cellulite have learned to live with the appearance of irregular fat on their legs and thighs because previous cellulite treatments in Seattle and Tacoma produced little, if any, improvement. But now, there's a new treatment that combats cellulite in 3 ways for dimple-free skin that lasts.
Cellulaze™ is a break-through procedure that uses laser energy to reduce fat, smooth the skin's surface and restore skin elasticity. After just 1 session, you'll notice significant improvements in the look of your skin for 1 year or longer.
Cellulaze is perfect for people with healthy eating habits who exercise regularly but who are concerned about the appearance of cellulite on their bodies. This treatment is not a fat removal procedure, such as liposuction or Smartlipo™, but it can be used as a complementary treatment to these techniques. Cellulaze is the first procedure to correct cellulite at the source, beneath the skin, for dramatic, long-term changes.
Devoted to providing personal care in a comfortable setting, Braden Stridde, M.D., is a board-certified plastic surgeon who looks forward to meeting you.

Your Cellulaze Procedure
Cellulaze is a laser-based cellulite treatment that requires only tiny incisions and little downtime. During the procedure, a thin tube-shaped surgical instrument called a cannula is inserted under the skin. The Cellulaze cannula has a laser-fiber tip that emits thermal energy, breaking apart the fibrous bands of connective tissue that tug on the skin and create rippling. At the same time, pockets of lumpy fat are liquefied and collagen formation is stimulated.
Dr. Stridde was the first in the Seattle area to offer Cellulaze. He typically performs the procedure using a local anesthetic, so patients are able to return home the same day. He marks the treatment area and places small incisions in the appropriate locations. The Cellulaze laser is then inserted through the incision to reach the source of the cellulite under the skin. Depending on the level of correction needed, a treatment can take 1 to 2 hours.
Recovery After Cellulaze
Most people who are treated with Cellulaze experience only minor discomfort and minimal side effects after the procedure. Dr. Stridde usually asks patients to relax and take it easy for the first 24 to 48 hours following the procedure so their bodies can recuperate. Exercising and other vigorous physical activity should be postponed for 2 weeks after Cellulaze treatment.
Some bruising and swelling is common after treatment, and some fluid may leak from the incision sites. Dr. Stridde sometimes asks his patients to wear compression bandages to help the body heal, and these side effects usually subside within a few days.
Some improvement is almost always visible immediately after treatment. More change will progressively develop during the following 3 to 12 months as collagen grows. In Cellulaze studies, skin thickness was increased by 25% and skin elasticity by 29% after 1 year. Additionally, 93% of patients surveyed 1 year after treatment said they were either satisfied or very satisfied and would recommend Cellulaze to a friend.
