Endoscopic Brow Lift
All areas of the face are subject to the aging process, and that includes your forehead. While many people begin to notice lines and wrinkles on their brow, the subtle drooping of the forehead skin that often occurs as we age can be overlooked. When you see the dramatic difference possible with a brow lift in Seattle / Tacoma, you'll wonder why you waited so long to make a change for the better.
Also known as a forehead lift, this procedure raises the eyebrow position and lifts sagging skin above the eyes to alleviate the "tired" or "angry" look that can accompany the aging process. It also helps to smooth out vertical lines across the forehead to help achieve a younger, more refreshed look.

Your Brow Lift
This procedure is performed through small (less than one inch) vertical incisions just behind the hairline. A small endoscopic camera is inserted through one of the incisions for viewing on a monitor. Instruments are then inserted through the other incisions to perform the brow lift. Dr. Stridde feels that endoscopic brow lifts are less invasive and produce a more natural appearing lift than the older style brow lifts, which use a long incision across the scalp from ear to ear.
Many times patients seek eyelid surgery in Seattle, not realizing that a better result can be obtained through an endoscopic brow lift. For many people, their sagging brow has actually pushed down excess skin above the eyelid. By performing an endoscopic brow lift, the sagging brow is raised and the excess skin is removed. This produces a better cosmetic result than just removing excess skin above the eye, which can pull the brow further down.
Recovery after Surgery
After brow lift surgery, patients may experience temporary loss of sensation or numbness in the forehead area. Mild to moderate swelling is typical for the first few days, and any discomfort is controlled with prescription pain medication. The discomfort generally resolves within a few days and the swelling gradually improves over the following week.
Most of our brow lift patients are ready to return to work in about 7 to 10 days, though the recovery period may be longer if you choose to combine your brow lift with Seattle face lift, eyelid surgery, or other cosmetic procedures.
