Why Breast Augmentation?
Breast augmentation is a cosmetic surgery procedure that increases breast size and improves breast shape. For a woman who has never been happy with her breast size or fullness, augmentation is a long-term solution that can improve both her look and her outlook. Women also choose breast augmentation to restore lost volume following pregnancy or weight loss.
Whatever your reason, Dr. Stridde is known for his extensive experience and training in the most current surgical innovations, including the latest generation of gel implants. He can provide you with a naturally enhanced look that is balanced and proportional.
Dr. Stridde offers an array of breast implant options to best meet the unique needs of his patients. After a thorough discussion with you at your consultation, Dr. Stridde guides you through the breast augmentation decision-making process, reviewing your choices for implant size, shape, incision location, and position above or below the muscle. Along the way, he makes recommendations and shares his preferences, and take the time to explain in detail the various options and trade-offs.
If you're bothered by sagginess, also called ptosis, Dr. Stridde may recommendbreast lift surgery instead of or in addition to your breast augmentation. This procedure is commonly performed at the same time as breast augmentation, and it repositions the breasts to a higher, more youthful-looking placement on the chest.
Women in search of a very natural-looking result may be candidates for "super natural" breast augmentation, a modified version of the surgery that yields softer, more realistic results.

Your Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation surgery usually takes about 1 to 2 hours to perform. Dr. Stridde makes the incisions as small as possible and places them where they are well-concealed. Your breast implants will be placed either above or below the pectoral muscle depending on your preference and Dr. Stridde's recommendation.

Recovery After Surgery
After breast augmentation surgery, your breasts will be supported with a post-surgical bra to aid in recovery, and you'll be sent home to rest in comfort. All of Dr. Stridde's breast augmentation patients receive prescriptions for an adequate supply of pain medication. Some discomfort and lack of energy are common for the first few days, and many women find it helpful to have a friend or loved one to help them around the house for 1 or 2 days after their surgery.
A degree of swelling is common, but should steadily diminish over 4 to 6 weeks. You'll be required to wear a surgical support bra to protect your results for a few weeks after the procedure. Dr. Stridde makes every effort to minimize scarring, and scars should begin to lighten and fade after a few months. You should be ready to return to work in about 3 to 7 days.
Follow-Up After Breast Augmentation in Kirkland With Dr. Stridde
Although your augmented breasts may initially be high and firm, they'll gradually settle into a more natural-looking position as the muscles stretch and the tissues soften. During your follow-up appointments, Dr. Stridde evaluates your results to ensure this process proceeds on schedule.
In the long-term, your breast implants can last for many years, especially if you live a healthy lifestyle and follow Dr. Stridde's post-surgical instructions. Today's implants are stronger and more resilient than ever, and many women report "life spans" of more than 15 years.
