• Dr. Braden Stridde: In addition to being the founder of Puget Sound Plastic Surgery, Dr. Stridde is a board-certified plastic surgeon who is a skilled and highly experienced surgeon who is qualified to provide a full range of cosmetic surgery procedures for Seattle / Tacoma residents.
• Dr. Christopher Chung: A board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Chung develops customized cosmetic recommendations for the women and men in his care. He is highly valued for his surgical skills and cosmetic insights developed through years of specialty training and private practice.

The Importance of Board Certification

Today, a great deal of confusion exists about what it truly means to be a "board certified" plastic surgeon. Unfortunately, in order to create an image of credibility, there are physicians with minimal education and training in plastic surgery will claim board certification without indicating what board they are certified by, or they will claim board certification by a board not recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

The ABMS was created in 1933 to inform the public that a certified specialist has the approved specialty education and training and has passed both qualifying and certifying examinations, assuring that he or she possesses the requisite skills to provide quality care in that specialty.

The American Board of Plastic Surgery was established as a major specialty board sanctioned by the ABMS in 1941 and is the only board that provides certification to plastic surgeons in the complete spectrum of plastic surgery.
