Chemical Peels

If you've noticed that your skin has lost some luster, it may be time for a chemical peel in Seattle. This medical spa treatment removes damaged surface layers of skin to reveal more youthful-looking skin beneath and encourage new skin cell growth.

As we age, the natural skin renewal process begins to slow down, making our skin look dull, wrinkled, and damaged. It only makes sense to remove these older layers of skin and encourage your skin's natural renewal process. Seattle chemical peels may be performed on their own or in conjunction with other skin rejuvenation techniques or even following a facial surgery procedure.

Your Options

Obagi Blue Peel®

This peel uses a slow-acting TCA (trichloroacetic acid) solution to remove aged and damaged cells on the surface layer of your skin. The depth of treatment depends on the amount of time the peel solution is left on your skin, so treatment can be customized to provide you with significant benefit without over-correction. After your Obagi chemical peel in Seattle, you should begin to notice reduced wrinkling, tighter skin, and a smoother, more youthful appearance.

Blue Peels are most commonly used to enhance the appearance of facial skin, but also can be used safely on the neck, chest, hands and other areas with dull or damaged skin. Light sedation may be used during treatment to avoid any discomfort. Several treatments spaced a few months apart may be necessary to achieve your desired results.

Immediately after your peel, your skin will have a bluish tint that lasts for 12 to 24 hours. A few days later, the outer layers of skin will begin to peel. This peeling is finished for most patients after about 7 to 10 days. The Blue Peel is performed in conjunction with a patient's use of the Obagi Nu-Derm® System, a set of professional skincare products used to prepare and protect your skin.

Glycolic Exfoliating Treatment

A Glycolic Exfoliating Treatment is less intense than microdermabrasion, but offers many of the same benefits and should be considered as a good alternative. Glycolic acid helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots; it can also help to relieve acne. Best results are achieved when performed in a series of six treatments.
