After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, Dr. Stridde went on to attend Northwestern University Medical School, graduating with his medical degree in 1983. After medical school, he continued his education with a total of 9 years of additional practical training, including a plastic surgery fellowship at Scotland's Canniesburn Hospital under the direction of renowned surgeon Sir Ian McGregor.
From 1985 to 1989, Dr. Stridde completed residencies in general surgery and microsurgery at New Hampshire's Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. In 1988, he was chosen as chief resident of general surgery and also served as a surgery instructor. In 1990, he began his plastic surgery residency at the University of Washington, eventually choosing to remain in the state and establish his practice.
